Where movements awaken meaning...
T'ang Dance Project is a cross-border collective founded in North Borneo, shaped in Singapore, and now based in London. Drawing from diverse cultural influences, the collective blends dance, theatre, and storytelling to explore identity, memory, and human connection—creating bold, honest works that resonate across boundaries.
Productions & Commissions
T'ang Dance Project creates dance theatre works that honour authenticity, emotional depth, and artistic excellence. Drawing from true stories across cultures, we blend dance, theatre, and storytelling to explore what it means to be human—transcending language, borders, and form.
We also collaborate across disciplines—creating for contemporary dance showcases, documentary films, community musicals, and inclusive performances with special needs artists. Each commission offers an opportunity to share stories with care, creativity, and resonance in diverse contexts.
Workshops & Outreach
We organise movement and acting workshops to support skill-building and creative collaboration. Led by Sook Kuan, our ethnographic fieldwork and research trips deepen cultural understanding and help artists embody stories with truth and emotional depth.
Dance Theatre Photo Gallery
Through in-studio photography, we collaborate with emerging photographers from diverse backgrounds. These meaningful collaborations not only capture the essence of our original works but also inspire the visual language of each production. This collection showcases stunning portraits of our performers and striking representational images, revealing the creativity and depth of each collaboration.
