About Us
T'ang Dance Project was founded in North Borneo, shaped in Singapore, and now based in London, a cross-border collective created by Sook Kuan in 2016. Upholding her passion to inspire a true love of humanity through the mimicry of life and nature, the collective is driven by true stories from diverse cultural backgrounds. We blend dance, theatre, and storytelling to create performances that transcend borders, celebrate authenticity, and challenge the liminal space between artistic forms. With a commitment to artistic integrity and emotional depth, we craft works that resonate with the human spirit, inviting audiences to experience powerful narratives that move beyond language and cultural divides. Since its inception, T'ang Dance Project has been actively involved in dance theatre making and movement projects across Southeast Asia and now in London.
In 2024, Khairul Kamsani joined the collective as Associate Producer, playing a key role in expanding its reach to London and guiding its pursuit of higher artistic excellence through cross-border collaboration with passionate artists in the performing arts scene.

Authentic Storytelling Across Cultures
Drawing from true stories across cultures, we weave the raw authenticity of human experience into performances that are both compelling and transcend borders.
Challenging the Liminal Space Between Dance and Theatre
Blurring the lines between dance and theatre, we explore the spaces in between, creating work that defies convention and invites new ways of seeing.
Artistic Integrity & Emotional Depth
Committed to excellence in every aspect of creation, the collective produces works that resonate emotionally and intellectually, grounded in a commitment to truthful and genuine expression.
